Ellen and Wire Dog went to the neighbor’s house. Ellen and Wire Dog’s neighbor played tag. Wire Dog went to the trees and took a branch so Ellen ran after him. Then Wire Dog and Ellen knew it was the right thing to do to buy a new tree. Their kindness made the neighbor very happy and they are now best friends. Wire Dog will not destroy other people’s property ever again.
When Ellen was 9 years old her parents wouldn't let her have a real dog, so she made one out of wire and started writing Wire Dog stories.
